Christopher Loofs is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Marywood University in Scranton, PA and a designer and principal at Unearthed Practice. Founded in 2023 with Jordan Loofs, Unearthed Practice is an architecture, interiors, and furniture design studio.
Christopher’s research explores issues of planning for climate change in coastal regions, environmental justice and toxicity, pedagogies of the American School of Architecture in the midcentury, and the potential of play and games in design education. He holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Environmental Design with a minor in Sustainable Architecture and Planning from Texas A&M University. Before joining the MUSOA he was the 2023-2025 Robert L. Wesley Teaching Fellow at the University of Oklahoma Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture.

Christopher Loofs was the section curator of the Arthur Dyson section for the exhibit co-organized by architecture faculty Angela Person, Stephanie Pilat, and Marco Piscitelli. Outré West is the first-ever exhibition to consider the broader influence of Goff’s and Greene’s teaching and mentoring on California’s built environment.
