John Rosengrant, MPA, LCSW, has a strong commitment to social work practice, leadership, and education. A proud Marywood alumnus, John earned dual Master's degrees in Social Work and Public Administration, after completing his Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Wilkes University. During his graduate studies at Marywood, he conducted research on organizational culture and employee burnout, which was published in the Journal of Applied Professional Studies.

John's professional career reflects a passion for advancing systems-level change and serving vulnerable populations. He has held leadership roles in behavioral health and community-based organizations, including serving as Director of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and founding Katie's Place Clubhouse in Scranton. He currently serves as Executive Director of the NEPA Youth Shelter, where he oversees organizational leadership, fundraising efforts, and staff supervision. Prior to assuming this role, John served on the organization's Board of Directors for six years and currently holds the position of Immediate Past President.

As a clinical social work administrator, John brings valuable expertise in organizational leadership, program development, and the implementation of systems that promote meaningful and sustainable change. His professional experiences embody the values of the social work profession and provide students with real-world perspectives on leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.

In addition to his administrative accomplishments, John has developed a passion for teaching and mentoring future helping professionals.
