The Sordoni Construction Management Program enables students to become construction managers as well as a wide variety of highly rewarding careers in construction management firms, general contracting companies, real estate developers, appraisers, financial institutions, and real estate management firms, architecture offices, government agencies, engineering firms, industrial companies, and material suppliers.
Focused on acquiring the skills needed to manage the construction of the built environment, our degree in Construction Management trains students in construction knowledge, business practices, advanced building technologies, and environmental science.
Its close collaboration with our Architecture and Business programs allows students to expand their knowledge beyond the boundaries of the traditional Construction Management curriculum, enabling them to customize their studies based on their interests and inclinations.
Construction Management students benefit from an integrative curriculum that requires:
- Eight semesters of construction management and building technology courses, steadily growing in complexity from surveying to cost estimating to a comprehensive capstone project;
- Lab activities such as site surveying, and practical applications of building technologies;
- Business courses, including accounting, business management, economics, and law;
- Courses in basic and organizational communications;
- Program electives from an extensive list of business, communications, or environmental science courses.

I came in with little direction and little confidence and by getting involved with the Office of Student Engagement and the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, I was really able to find my purpose and grow into an extremely confident and capable individual. Construct Your Future '26
An Immersive Summer Program
From June 21st to June 28th 2025, students enrolled in the Constuct Your Future (CYF) will be actively participating in the eight – days of construction projects and other fun activities and guided by our school's ’s experienced faculty.
Students will have the opportunity to converse with construction managers, architects, and designers through a series of guest lectures and workshops. Students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to build using equipment in our various laboratories and shops (wood / metal / 3D printing / CNC router / laser cutting / etc.).

The School of Architecture is housed in this spacious adaptation of Marywood's former gymnasium. The building features a variety of green components, including a vegetative roof and an innovative heating and cooling system that utilizes geothermal energy from abandoned mine shafts beneath campus.

Morris K. Udall Scholarship
The Udall Foundation seeks future leaders across a wide spectrum of environmental fields, including policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice, and economics. The Foundation also seeks future Native American and Alaska Native leaders in public and community health care, tribal government, and public policy affecting Native American communities, including land and resource management, economic development, and education.
